Twitter

Twitter is a social network that allows you to get news out the fastest. Even if the update from one of your followers is pointless, it still gets the most info out the quickest. Twitter is a mix of instant messaging, email, and text messaging. This entire entire network is a group of account users that “follow” each other. Many people use Twitter to get quick updates on their favorite sport teams and players, in fact, some NFL players even “tweet” while they are on the bench. Your friends instantly see a trail of your answers to the question “What are you doing”, and you see a feed of their latest answers as well. Every answer is quick and can’t be more than 140 characters long. Twitter is really a service for friends, family, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected in some cases. Many people have different opinions, but most people would agree that Twitter is very useful and can be used for various reasons. In addition, many people in fact follow their favorite celebrities and get caught up on the latest news. The best part of this is that Twitter is free. Anyone can use it and even big business corporations use Twitter to get clients to purchase products. It is a good business strategy because tons of people use this social networking software, and can get the latest news on new products and items that potential clients will buy. Twitter is used for news too, when the airplane crashed in the Hudson River last year, a man went out for a smoke and witnessed this event, he then took a picture of the plane and posted it to his Twitter account, people instantly saw the news and the man who took the picture got money for posting it to his account. It is useful for really anything. There is some competion with Twitter though; there are websites like Myspace and Facebook that are all very similar to each other. They all deal with social networking and all 3 websites have different layouts and functions. Facebook and Myspace have games you can play, and really deal with just talking to your friends. That’s why Twitter is best used for all categories such as business, social, entertainment, news, and recreational. Anyone can use Twitter and will probably be used in our everyday lives sometime in the future.
